The monsoon rains had affected three million people in Pakistan, of which 184,000 have been displaced to relief camps across the country.
Heavy rains have triggered flash floods and wreaked havoc across much of Pakistan since mid-June, leaving 903 dead and about 50,000 people homeless.
Thousands whose homes were swept away now live in tents if any, kilometres away from their inundated villages and towns, after being rescued by soldiers, local disaster workers and volunteers.
The needs of the survivors are varied. People are desperate for food, shelter and basic necessities.
A childhood without play is not a healthy childhood. We are grateful to PTCL Razakaars for their time, energy, and resources to provide loads of fun and play to our children.
Bali Memorial Trust is thankful to Nadeem Caterers, Ms Ayesha Jahanzaib and Team Khabarnak for arranging a wonderful lunch for our Shelter children. DCO Lahore Ms Saleha Saeed and Chairperson BMT Ms Laila Nusrat were also present at the occasion.
Bali Memorial Trust is excited to share the outcome of our previous forestation drives with you. In two plantation phases, 15000 tree saplings were planted on an area of over 22 acres in Changa Manga forest park.
The need for tree plantation has become even greater because of the growing pollution in the environment. Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife.
Support #BaliForestationDrive by volunteering and donating for this noble cause. Please do participate in our forestation drive and do motivate others to join hands.
